Mechanical hand constructed from standard materials and SG90 servomotors, for a total cost of around 100.- CHF. It only takes a few hours to build and can be controlled with any EBE device.

  1. The fingers

The fingers offer one degree of freedom using nylon wire both over and underneath the finger. They run in brass tubes all the way to the motors, through the wrists.

The bones are made with 6x1.5mm Aluminium bars,M3 screws and self-locking nuts.  Light Balsa wood is used for the “flesh”, making for smooth and somewhat flexible grip surfaces.

For a solid grip on various objects, a bit of flexibility is needed. Your robotic hand should be built like a human one ! Hence, the palm is These are connected to each-other with a copper wire and silicon tube. The wrist is just a simple M3 screw threw all profiles.

2. The palm

The wrist is just a simple M3 screw through all aluminium bars.
